Larimar, also known as Atlantis Stone, is a very rare variety of Pectolite found only in the Dominican Republic. It is coloured blue due to the element copper. Due to Larimar Crystals’ popularity and rarity, there are unfortunately many imitations on the market, and so called red and green Larimar are fakes. Genuine Larimar will always be shades of blue, with a characteristic soft, round dappled pattern. Just like the rest of our crystals, our Larimar is genuine, natural and high quality.
