The chevron pattern focusses energy, cleanses the aura and repels negativity. The name Amethyst comes from the Greek word ‘Amethystos’, meaning ‘not drunk’. The ancient Greeks believe Amethyst protected against addiction and used the crystal as a talisman against drunkenness.
